The story revolves around the travels of Tao Yao, Liu Gongzi and Moya in the capital, showing that the distance between humans and demons may not be as insurmountable as one might think. Whether it is the interaction between Tao Yao and Ding San Si, or the guidance that Lao Zhang brings to Liu Gongzi across life and cooking, or the dilemma of Moya when facing the servant’s bag, each of the group grows in new ways. At the same time, Feng Wule, Chen Baishui and the others also gain their own redemption. Perhaps this is how life’s journey affects each other, with its many flavours.
